Dave and Mindy Stark have always loved animals.  Rescuing more than 30 dogs throughout their lives and loving them well into their teens in a house where they were family.  No expense was spared to ensure their pups were happy and healthy.  That commitment lead them to this moment.

After several years of planning, as they move into retirement, Dave and Mindy have opened Red Barn Kennel on an 11 acre property in the city of Muscatine, IA.  They share the property with their daughter, son-in-law, and four grand children, who live in the original family homestead built in the mid 1800's.  Once a dairy farm, they converted the dairy barn into their guest house and the horse barn into a sixteen kennel facility.  It is literally 15 steps from their backdoor into the kennel. Who can think of a better way for dog lovers to spend their retirement.
